Gnocchi Instructions 

Boil the 400g potatoes in salted water until tender.

Drain and mash the potatoes until smooth; let them cool slightly.

In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes with 1 egg and enough flour to form a soft dough.

​

​

Knead the dough lightly until smooth, being careful not to overwork it.

​

​

Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into long ropes about 2 cm thick.

​

​

Cut the ropes into 2 cm pieces to form gnocchi.

​

​

(Optional) Roll each piece over a fork to create ridges.

​

​

Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the gnocchi until they float to the surface (about 2–3 minutes).

​

​

Drain the gnocchi and toss with butter until coated.

​

​

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve hot.
