
Soup Joumou Instructions
Brown the beef: In a pot, sear the 200g beef cubes until lightly browned for added flavor.

Add pumpkin: Add the chopped pumpkin to the pot and sauté briefly.

Add liquid: Pour in enough water or broth to fully cover the beef and pumpkin.
​
​
Season: Add your spices (thyme, garlic, cloves, salt, pepper) and bring to a boil.

​
Simmer: Reduce heat and cook until the beef is tender and the pumpkin is soft (about 25–35 minutes).

Blend pumpkin: Mash or blend some of the softened pumpkin in the pot to thicken the broth.
​
​
Add vegetables: Stir in the 100g of vegetables and cook until tender.
​
​
Add pasta: Add the 50g pasta and simmer until fully cooked.
​
​
Adjust seasoning: Taste and add more spices or salt as needed.
​
​
Serve: Portion into containers or bowls and serve hot.
